Introducing Sandra Bombon, Hostel Baruch

jjjSo, after my short stay in the commercial zone of Quito with the malls, high end restaurants and other typical institutions, it was time to see the real Quito. I took a taxi to an area called "La Ronda", a tourist zone with typical Ecuadorian food and shops. After wondering around a few hours, I figured it was time to look for a place to stay in the area. There are dozens of hostels in the old city area, all priced pretty much between $15-25 US a night. The currency in Ecuador BTW is the American dollar, and it goes a long way here. I discovered the Hostal Baruch in an area I lovingly call Dollarama Lane. Why? Because there are hundreds of shops, street vendors and restaurants, you guessed it, selling everything for a dollar! Maybe not everything...but a lot! Anyway, without further ado, let me introduce you to my host, and dear friend Sandra Bombon.

My name is Sandra Irene Bombón Tubón, I was born in Ambato – Ecuador, on April 4, 1989.
